Showa Era Recording Tape "NHK Service Center"
NHK Sound Collection of Showa Era Records, published in 1965 (Showa 40).
Includes 10 reels of Synchro Tape, which are recording magnetic tapes with an acetate base film, not cassette tapes.
Each tape contains recordings on both sides (sides 1 and 2) of the reel.
The recording speed is 9.5 cm per second.
Contents include:
The Emperor's Enthronement, the Manchurian Incident, the February 26 Incident, the Berlin Olympics, the Outbreak of World War II, the End of the War, the Tokyo Trials, the Korean War, the Crown Prince's Wedding, the Tokaido Shinkansen, and more.
Enjoy these recordings along with the accompanying photo collection.
The instruction manual states:
As these are raw sound recordings, some parts may have poor sound quality or contain noise.
I am selling this item because I do not have the equipment to play the sound source. This is a new item.
I believe I purchased it in 1965 (Showa 40) for 7,500 yen.
