The transfer and sale of unsprouted Encephalartos seeds are not subject to regulation. However, the transfer of sprouted seeds and seedlings is subject to Ministry of the Environment regulations, so please understand this.
Seeds that passed the floating test.
The floating test involves soaking the seeds in water for two days and confirming that they sink.
The seeds may float immediately after shipping due to dryness, but they will normally sink after soaking for 1-2 days.
Sowing Method
Seeds often die if mold grows on them, so be sure to sterilize them with a fungicide such as Benlate or mold remover before sowing.
If you break the shell, mold will enter from there, so we strongly recommend sowing them as they are.
After sowing, maintain a stable temperature of around 25-28°C.
Keep the seeds constantly moist without letting them dry out.
If mold grows, re-sterilize.
Copies of certificates or import permits will not be included. Please refer to the photos.
