Instructions:
1. Wash the new mortar before first use.
2. Add a small amount of water to the mortar, then add only the required amount of glaze.
(Do not wet more glaze than necessary.)
3. Drain the water from the mortar as much as possible.
4. Grind with the pestle about 50 to 100 times, as if grinding sesame seeds.
5. After grinding, fill the mortar with water and rinse 3 times.
6. When the rinse water becomes clear and the glaze underneath is visible, it is ready.
7. Transfer to a small sake cup or plastic case for use.
