BAREFOOT is an ethical brand founded in 1964 by Italian textile designer Barbara Sansoni, who wanted to help unemployed Sri Lankan women. She serves as the designer, and the products are hand-spun, hand-woven, and hand-dyed by local Sri Lankan women, all meticulously crafted by hand with time and effort. The vibrant colors and the uniqueness and high rarity value have garnered attention, and it has now become a hidden gem popular brand in Europe, Asia, and Oceania.

Environmentally friendly pure cotton is used for the fabric. Harmless dyes made in Switzerland are used, and only safe materials that pose no problem even if a baby or child puts them in their mouth are utilized. Furthermore, it is washable even if it gets dirty, and the colorfastness is excellent, so it will not fade and can be loved for many years.
