VICTOR Open Reel Deck TD-551 in good condition.

Immediate purchase is welcome.
However, if you have any questions, please be sure to ask in the comment section.

This is a VICTOR open reel deck, model TD-551.

When you think of open reel decks, you might strongly associate them with brands like SONY, TEAC, or AKAI, but it seems VICTOR also had a full-fledged 3-motor model.
I purchased this on Mercari previously, but unfortunately, due to my carelessness, I bought it without checking the shipping region, and upon arrival, I realized the power frequency was for 50Hz.
This was clearly my mistake.
For your information, I live in Nagano Prefecture, where the power frequency is 60Hz.

I waited a long time for a 60Hz parts-only unit of the same model to appear, but the prospects were slim.
It's a rare model, and its condition is quite good, so I'm very reluctant to part with it. However, due to having too many audio devices, my wife has instructed me to declutter.

I reconfirmed the operation for this listing (there are some areas in Nagano Prefecture that use 50Hz. I took it to a friend who lives in one of those areas to confirm operation).
Playback (19/9.5 SEC) was good.
Rewind and fast-forward are also good.
Both left and right playback outputs are fine.
I believe it will operate without issues if used in a 50Hz region, but I don't have any good tapes for overdubbing, so I haven't been able to confirm recording.
I connected a CD player to the line input and played a CD. When I pulled the recording lever, the level meter moved in proportion to the recording level, and both left and right outputs were functioning.
I don't have any microphones, so I haven't been able to test the microphone input.

I had intended to fix it and keep it, so I cleaned the main unit thoroughly and, though I may not have done a perfect job, I cleaned the contacts with an electric cleaner. I also cleaned the heads.
As mentioned above, I have not performed extensive maintenance, and there are some unconfirmed operational aspects, so I am listing it as junk.

Recently, there have been individuals who, despite purchasing items listed as junk, make complaints like It's completely unusable, so please give me a refund/return. I want to avoid trouble later on, so I would prefer that only those who understand what junk means purchase this item.
Therefore, I kindly request purchases from those who can promise to accept the item as-is, without complaints.
(This includes any defects.)
