Description
Blue and white porcelain ginger jar or melon-shaped lidded canister features a classic Chinoiserie aesthetic. The globular, ribbed body is decorated with intricate hand-painted floral and foliate patterns in a vibrant cobalt blue against a crisp white ground. A matching lid with a round finial completes the piece, making it a perfect decorative accent for a bookshelf, mantel, or kitchen counter. The underside shows a clean, unglazed foot rim typical of quality ceramic ware.
