Bordallo Pinheiro Scalloped Shell Platter Serving Oyster Tray Made in Portugal

Mid-century Portuguese earthenware shell plate. Gorgeous hand painted glaze. Perfect for serving or to hang on the wall! Circa 50s/60s. Measures approximately 13.5 x 11 inches.  Vintage Bordallo Pinheiro Scalloped Shell Platter Serving /Oyster Tray, Made in Portugal. Majolica clam shell plate, lovely gift! The plate has iridescent cream white and grey hues with a black bow and scalloped edge. This has the impressed/incised mark on the bottom along with an ink stamp and the number 1559. Very collectable, useful and beautiful design. Dishes of this size are useful to have around. It would look wonderful displayed with a collection of majolica, but it’s functional as a key bowl, jewelry catchall at bedside or vanity, business card holder, soap dish or for use in the kitchen.  In good condition with no cracks but two very small chips to the glaze on the rim.  A really lovely present for a collector of this set and really practical for use!
